Is Megalodon Still Alive?

Scientists predicted the size of the Megalodon with the help of the only bone in the Megalodon's body, the teeth, as the remaining cartilage had decomposed. Scientist are not sure whether the Megalodon is still alive or not. We cannot say that it is completely extinct as there are many parts in the world that is not explored by humans. If Megalodon was alive during the present time, ships would not be able to sail in the ocean.  Even though Megalodon has not been spotted alive, its successors - The Great white sharks still carries its ancestors terror in the deep blue sea.

You may wonder what is this Megalodon. This magnificent animal is an extinct shark. Scientists have not determined what should be it's size but do have an approximate conclusion of how it would look. The Megalodon is said to be eighteen metres long. People have debated for this topic for centuries and are still not sure why did the Megalodon get extinct. The theories are that when the whales unexpectedly migrated to the south pole the sharks followed them which led to the extinction of the Megalodon species. Now a new question arises, how did scientists determine it's length. With the help of it's skeleton. No, if you look at the inside of any shark a substance called cartilage will be found in place of bones. It makes it a very swift and deadly predator.

Only the teeth is real
